The Metrology laboratory is a branch of Calibration, Analysis and measurement workshop. The primary objective of this lab is to maintain reliability, accuracy and trustworthiness in the measurements made regarding the temperature.
The lab follows a comparaison method in order to carry out its calibration operation according to a working standard. For the verifications (of climatic chambers for example), the lab is based on comparing the results obtained using working standards with maximum tolerated errors (MTEs), by specifications obtained from test methods or to manufacturers specifications.
The working standards in our lab are calibrated by use of our own reference standards which are of great accuracy and top-class performance. Those reference standards are themselves calibrated by external laboratories of a proven competence in accordance with national standards. All of this to ensure traceability and the rigorous correctness required in the measurements.
In order to maintain trustworthiness in the calibrations and verifications, the functioning of our lab fall under the ISO/CEI 17025 (2005) standard. The use of this international standard allows, on the one hand, to work with a complete neutrality, integrity and confidentiality and on the other hand, to fulfill our customer’s demands.
Operating procedures have been elaborated for the calibration and verification of different type of instruments for the temperature measurement. The reliability of the methods adopted by our lab is ensured by:
