MINERAL MINING AND PROCESSING DIVISION

This research division contributes to the mastery and technological development of the mining sector. It is responsible for carrying out scientific and technological research projects related to minerals and useful substances, the development and valorization of ceramics, the development of new products for additive manufacturing, and the valorization of industrial by-products. The research activity of the DETM is organized around the development and optimization of processes for the treatment and valorization of minerals and industrial by-products.

The missions assigned to the Division of Mineral Exploitation and Transformation (DETM) are as follows:

·         Development of new products for additive manufacturing;

·         Minerals and useful substances (processing of raw materials and reduction of iron ores);

·         Valorization of ceramics and their applications;

·         Valorization of industrial by-products;

·         Development of ceramics and their applications.
