Mechanical and caracterization laboratory

The Mechanical Testing Laboratory is currently undergoing the ISO/CEI 17025 accreditation process for its scope of activities, specifically covering tensile and bending tests on metallic materials.

Test equipment available :

Universal tensile testing machine. Capacity 100 KN. MTS Criterion Model 45.

Universal tensile testing machine Capacity 600 KN. INSTRON SATEC UTM.

Impact testing machine. Capacity 750 joule. HOYTOM Model D2-M.

Universal Hardness tester. INNOVATEST NEMESIS 9000.

Fatigue testing machine. Capacity 100 KN. MTS SILENTFLO 515.

Tests performed :

Tensile test at room temperature

Tensile test at high temperature up to 780 °C (100 KN Machine)

Bending and/or Unbending test

Fracture test

Impact test at room temperature

Impact test at high temperature up to 240 °C

Impact test at low temperature up to - 80 °C

Flattering test

Fatigue test at room temperature

Fatigue test at high temperature up to 780 °C

Vickers (HV) and Brinell (HRB) hardness tests
