Industrial automation is experiencing a technological revolution under the name “Industry 4.0”. Indeed, the programmable logic controller (PLC) plays the role of a hardware platform allowing the direct implementation of different monitoring and control techniques on industrial installations. The flexibility provided on this element allows the developer to improve the performance of industrial installations through the use of the latest innovations proposed by the international community. However, with its standard forms, the industrial automatons existing on the market do not allow developers such use, generally limitations are imposed on the software. This project deals with the problems related to the limitations of existing technologies for the integration of new approaches for the optimization of industrial processes. On the other hand, a multiplication of programming languages is noted with different architectures that require an upward learning curve. For this, a platform that supports technological advances must be put in place to implement approaches based on the use of artificial intelligence, advanced control techniques, metaheuristic methods and IoT. The main objectives are to master existing technologies at the software and hardware level of industrial automation. The development of tools to help implement new techniques for optimizing industrial processes. The purpose of this project is the development of techniques and the production of an automaton prototype allowing the implementation of modern automation approaches.
