Thermomechanical and tribological behavior of composites based on reinforced polymers [2019-2021]

The behavior study of materials damage and wear during the manufacture of structures and assemblies allows to predict their behavior during use, as well as to anticipate and minimize the damage risk and abrupt rupture, that will help to increase the equipment life in service. The damage can be located at the parts heart and in this case: plasticization, damage and rupture of the materials will be studied, but also on the parts surface and in this case the tribological aspects will be considered. The expected results will contribute to the parameters optimization that define the good behavior in service of the structures in extremely diversified industrial applications and with high added value (naval, automotive, rail, aeronautics and space, renewable energy production industries, nuclear power, oil and gas, etc.).
