Applications of Variable-Speed Drive Control / Frequency in Electric Motors

In this research project, the objective is to develop a reliable control tool for variable speed drives (VSDs). The advantages of implementing VSDs lie in both enhanced productivity and significant energy savings achieved in motors, compressors, and other equipment. The integration of microcontrollers further improves energy efficiency, reduces power consumption, enhances power factor and process accuracy, and enables smooth starting as well as overspeed capability.
