Development and Implementation of Advanced Control and Monitoring Techniques on a Customized Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

The project builds upon three years of experience in industrial automation, focusing on the continuous development and optimization of a customized programmable logic controller (PLC). This PLC serves as a hardware platform for implementing and testing advanced control strategies, real-time process monitoring, and intelligent diagnostics.

The aim of the project is to design a hardware extension for the existing prototype, integrating a protocol that combines continuous monitoring with fault diagnosis algorithms. These algorithms are capable of classifying damage, determining severity levels, and locating faults. The platform will also be modernized to support Industry 4.0 technologies, including artificial intelligence, advanced control methods, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The main goal is to develop advanced approaches for process automation, enabling systems to self-regulate in case of faults, improve industrial process performance, and provide remote monitoring and supervision capabilities. The project ultimately delivers a customized industrial PLC prototype incorporating all functionalities required for intelligent, adaptive, and efficient industrial operations.
