Creation of Thin Films and Applications Development Unit (UDCMA)

The CSC created its third research unit, the Development Unit of Thin Films and Applications (UDCMA). In order to expand and structure research activities through the country. This last was created according to the MinisterialDecree N.O 412 of November 12th, 2012.Its main mission was to undertake research work on bulk materials and thin films for their applications in telecommunications, health, environment and energy.The incorporation of this research unit required a massive recruitment of researchers and support staff, which allowed the CSC to achieve a staff of 604 employees.
