welding techniques and non-destructive testing development unit

Following the increase skills of UNHCR and the creation of new specialized development centres, welding techniques and non-destructive testing development unit (UDTSCND)got created according to the decree of January 9th, 1988.This unit was dependent,at first, on the Materials Development Centre (CDM) which had the privilege to improve NDT techniques including radiographic testing, ultrasonic wave testing and supervision by complementary techniques as well as the development of welding.
This unit was transferred to Cheraga where its headquarters consisted of several barracks including sheltered laboratories, workshops and an administrative management and a financial service. This required to enroll administrator staff to achieve a workforce of 123 employees.
