Opening of the Conference

The opening ceremony of the 5th International Conference on Welding, NDT and the Metal Industry, together with the 7th African Conference on NDT, was held on November 26, 2016, in the presence of national and international scientific figures and more than 300 participants. Following the address of the Director General of CRTI, Professor Mostepha YAHI, Professor Hafid AOURAG, Director General of Scientific Research and Technological Development (DGRSDT), officially declared the event open on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Professor Hafid AOURAG then delivered a lecture on the importance of new non-destructive testing techniques in the national industry. Afterwards, Professor Mike FARELY, former director of ICNDT, presented a second plenary session.
