The Non-Metallic Additive Manufacturing Division (DFANM) is one of the two divisions of Additive Manufacturing Research Unit (URFA/CRTI). The mission of this division aims to conduct in-depth research on the different axes of non-metallic additive manufacturing for different applications in the fields of health, energy, industry, the environment, etc.
The main research axes of this division (DFANM) are:
- The study and development of non-metallic materials (polymers, composites, ceramics, etc.) with a view to their compliance with the 3D printing technique used and the requirements of the targeted application.
- The design and optimization of additive manufacturing parts and processes.
- Quality control and analysis of additive manufacturing materials and products.
- Surface treatment and post-treatment of finished products.
- Modeling and simulation of additive manufacturing materials and processes.
